Sibongile Shongwe

I have held various executive positions at Eskom with extensive experience in Supply Chain Management combined with Finance, Auditing and Management Accounting. I have experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Foreign Exchange, Supply Chain Risk and Governance, Restructuring and Business Operating Models, and ERP Systems. I also have experience in Transformation relating to Socio-Economic Development, B-BBEE, Preferential Procurement, Community Skills Development, Enterprise and Supplier Development.

I was involved in supply chain transformation at both Eskom and ACSA, ensuring alignment with the best supply chain practices. At ACSA, I introduces the supply chain management concept, striving to transit from tactical to strategic supply chain. I contributed significantly to the formation and implementation of closing the gaps in terms of BBBEE Contribution level at ACSA and delivered a sustainable level 2 contribution level for ACSA.

I have served on various governance committees, including Board Tender, Board Investment Committee, Capex, Further Studies and Project Execution. I am former vice chairperson for the CIPS Gauteng Branch, and was part of the team that established the Gauteng Branch.
